ship-end BIP Candidates — Wrap/Ship BIP Output Moves to a Single HTML Page

Read-only Build-In-Public candidate batch generated after a clean session ship. This page is review/help content only — it does not publish posts, write social-ledger records, alter canonical artifacts, or require another approval. Selection and publishing are a later workflow under docs/social-ledger-convention.md.

Priority metadata: saved alignment.bip_platforms may rank channels, but every bundled text/community and video channel below is included. Saved platforms are not a channel filter.

What Shipped (Source Basis)

The shipped boundary is a workflow-contract change to the session wrap-up skill. Build-In-Public post suggestions generated at the end of a "ship" used to print as inline terminal markdown, while suggestions tied to a review/alignment page already wrote to a single reviewable HTML file. This session unified the two: the wrap/ship batch now writes to one HTML page instead of scrolling past in the terminal.

All drafts below are source-safe: no secrets, credentials, private repo context, customer names, or unverifiable metrics. The work described is a general workflow/devtool pattern, not a product commitment.

Candidate Field Legend

Every candidate below carries the same fields: target channel, recommendation status, recommendation notes, source basis, claim-safety notes, risk level, publish precheck, and loaded convention path. Recommendation status is one of recommended not-now rejected.

1. LinkedIn posts

recommended Top-ranked text/community angle: the reviewability lesson — ephemeral terminal output vs a durable page.

Your build tooling can draft "building in public" posts for you. But if it dumps them as terminal text, they scroll away the moment you ship the next thing. Small change with a big quality-of-life payoff: route those auto-drafted social posts to a single reviewable HTML page instead of inline output. Now they're archived, indexed, and openable — something you can actually skim, edit, and keep. The lesson generalizes: if an agent generates something you'll want to review later, give it a durable surface, not a scrollback.
Recommendation notes
Strongest single angle; "durable surface, not scrollback" resonates with devtool/agent-tooling readers. Lead candidate.
Source basis
This session's wrap/ship BIP-to-HTML routing change and its history entry.
Claim-safety notes
Framed as a general workflow insight; no internal paths or unreleased commitments.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm account voice and that building-in-public tooling is already public for this project.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/linkedin-post-convention.md

2. X posts

recommended Tight one-liner with a generalizable principle.

If an agent generates something you'll want to review, don't print it to the terminal — it scrolls away. Moved our auto-drafted "build in public" posts from inline output to a single reviewable HTML page: archived, indexed, openable. Durable surface > scrollback.
Recommendation notes
Punchy; works standalone or as a thread head paired with the LinkedIn long-form.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Generic phrasing; no private context.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm any thread continuation is drafted before posting the head.
Loaded convention path

3. Bluesky posts

recommended Builder-confessional framing fitting the network.

My wrap-up command drafts build-in-public posts at the end of a ship. Handy — but it printed them inline, so they vanished into scrollback. Pointed that output at a single HTML page instead. Now it's reviewable and kept. Tiny ergonomics fix, surprisingly nice.
Recommendation notes
Conversational tone matches the network.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
No unsupported claims; no proprietary detail.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm length fits the channel limit.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/bluesky-convention.md

4. Threads posts

not-now Near-duplicate of the Bluesky/X beat; hold to avoid same-day cross-posting of the identical line.

Ergonomics rule for agent tooling: if you'll want to read it later, write it to a page, not the terminal. (Today's example: auto-drafted social posts → a single reviewable HTML file.)
Recommendation notes
Useful, but dedupe against Bluesky/X; schedule a day apart if used.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Aphorism only; no private context.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm it does not repeat an already-posted line verbatim.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/threads-convention.md

5. Mastodon posts

recommended Slightly more technical framing for an engineering-heavy audience.

Workflow-contract tweak: my session wrap-up skill generates source-safe "build in public" post drafts. Two output paths had diverged — review-page-driven drafts went to a durable HTML file, wrap/ship drafts went to inline terminal text. Unified them on the durable page: confirmed, read-only, archived before replacement, indexed. Reused the existing audited page shape — no new format. #devtools #agents
Recommendation notes
Add CW only if instance norms require; otherwise post as-is.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Technical but non-proprietary; no secrets.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm hashtag/CW conventions for the home instance.
Loaded convention path

6. Reddit posts

not-now Strong as a discussion write-up, but needs a genuine question and a subreddit that allows self-referential tooling posts.

Title: Where should agent-generated "review later" output live — terminal or a file? Body: My build wrap-up tool drafts social posts at ship time. Inline terminal output meant they scrolled away; I moved them to a single reviewable HTML page (archived + indexed). Curious how others handle agent output you intend to review/edit later — files, a TUI pane, a web view? What's worked and what got annoying?
Recommendation notes
Hold until a fitting subreddit and discussion prompt are confirmed; Reddit penalizes promo-shaped posts.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Question-first framing; no private context.
Risk level
medium — subreddit rules vary.
Publish precheck
Confirm target subreddit allows self-posts and the framing is discussion-first.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/reddit-convention.md

7. Hacker News submissions/comments

rejected No standalone submission this cycle — a single workflow ergonomics tweak is below the bar for an HN post and reads as self-promotion.

(Reserved) Better used later as a contextual comment on an agent-tooling or developer-ergonomics thread: "We found agent output you intend to review later should land in a durable file, not terminal scrollback — moved our auto-drafted posts to a reviewable HTML page and it stuck."
Recommendation notes
Rejected as a submission; keep the one-liner for an organic comment opportunity.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Comment form only; no link-bait or unverifiable claims.
Risk level
high for a submission (flag/penalty risk), low for an organic comment.
Publish precheck
Only use as a comment where it is directly on-topic.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/hacker-news-convention.md

8. YouTube Community posts

recommended Teaser for a future build-log video on the change.

Next build-log: stop printing agent output you want to keep. We moved our auto-drafted "build in public" posts from terminal scrollback to a single reviewable page. Small fix, big difference. Where does your tooling lose output you meant to review?
Recommendation notes
Only post if a matching video is planned; community posts work best as teasers.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Question-led; no private context.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm a follow-up video is actually scheduled.
Loaded convention path

9. YouTube long-form

not-now Good evergreen episode on agent-output ergonomics, but needs screen-recording assets before it is worth producing.

Working title: "Agent Output Belongs in a File, Not Your Terminal" Outline: 1. Cold open — the wrap-up tool drafts social posts, then they scroll away. 2. The problem — review-later output dumped into ephemeral scrollback. 3. The fix — route the batch to a single confirmed, read-only HTML page; archive on replace; index it. 4. The reuse — lean on an existing audited page shape instead of inventing a new format. 5. Takeaway — give review-later agent output a durable, openable surface.
Recommendation notes
High evergreen value; defer until capture assets exist.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change and history entry.
Claim-safety notes
Keep on-screen repo content to already-public material.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm recordings contain no secrets or private paths.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/youtube-long-form-convention.md

10. YouTube Shorts

recommended 30-second hook on the ephemeral-output trap.

Hook (0-3s): "Your tool generated something useful, then deleted it. Sort of." Beat (3-20s): Agent-drafted posts printed to the terminal scroll away the moment you ship again. Payoff (20-30s): Send them to a page instead. Durable, reviewable, kept.
Recommendation notes
Strongest short-form hook in the batch.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Conceptual; no on-screen private context.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm captions and aspect ratio match the channel.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/youtube-shorts-convention.md

11. TikTok

not-now Same short hook, but only worth it if the dev-audience experiment on TikTok is active.

"POV: your AI tool wrote you 14 social posts and then they scrolled off the screen forever." Cut to: route them to a page instead. Caption for a non-expert dev audience.
Recommendation notes
Reuse the Shorts cut; hold unless TikTok distribution is being tested.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
No private context; keep jargon accessible.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm the channel is targeting a dev audience before posting.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/tiktok-convention.md

12. Instagram Reels

not-now Visual-first network; the ephemeral-output idea needs a clearer visual metaphor before it works here.

Visual idea: text flying up a terminal and off-screen, then the same text snapping into a tidy page card with an "open" button. Caption: "Stop losing the output you meant to review."
Recommendation notes
Hold until the visual metaphor is storyboarded.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
Metaphor only; no private context.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm asset is produced and on-brand.
Loaded convention path

13. LinkedIn video

recommended Short talking-head clip pairing with the LinkedIn text post.

60-90s talking head: "A workflow lesson worth stealing: if your agent generates something you'll want to review later, don't print it to the terminal. We had a wrap-up command drafting build-in-public posts inline — they scrolled away. We routed them to a single reviewable HTML page that gets archived and indexed. Durable surface beats scrollback every time."
Recommendation notes
Reinforces the LinkedIn text post; record once, caption for silent autoplay.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change.
Claim-safety notes
No screen-share of private content; spoken summary only.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm captions are burned in for autoplay.
Loaded convention path
docs/social/linkedin-video-convention.md

14. Founder/devtool reusable video prompts

recommended Reusable prompt template so this beat can be regenerated for any future workflow-ergonomics fix.

Reusable prompt: "Record a 45-60s founder build-log clip about a developer-ergonomics fix in agent tooling. Structure: (1) the small annoyance (useful output that disappears or is hard to review), (2) why it happened (wrong output surface), (3) the fix (give it a durable, reviewable surface; reuse an existing format), (4) the transferable rule. Keep all examples source-safe — no secrets, no private paths, no unverifiable metrics, no unreleased product commitments."
Recommendation notes
Save as a template; ranks high for reuse across future ship-end BIP runs.
Source basis
This session's BIP-to-HTML routing change as the worked example.
Claim-safety notes
Template enforces source-safety in its own instructions.
Risk level
low.
Publish precheck
Confirm each generated instance is re-checked for source-safety before publishing.
