Competitive analysis should route to journey mapping before value-prop work.
The user claim is confirmed. The mirrored competitive-analysis contracts and canonical workflow docs still used the older
sequence that sent standard competitive-analysis output to value-prop-canvas before journey-map.
That conflicts with the newer alignment-first, prototype-first workflow.
Recommended Routing
idea-scope-brief -> icp -> competitive-analysis -> journey-map -> value-prop-canvas -> positioning -> lean-canvas -> prototype path
The core reason is sequencing: competitive gaps need to be placed in the customer and user journey before the workflow optimizes solution-value claims. Journey mapping defines discovery, onboarding, aha, conversion, and retention context that value-prop-canvas should use.
