Methodology
This SWOT separates internal-ish FormForge evidence from external market evidence:

Scope
FormForge is evaluated as an AI-assisted client-intake form builder for small client-service businesses. Strategic Tensions
- Built loop vs. generic framing. FormForge has a real end-to-end form loop, but the visible product language remains broad. The ICP and Porter evidence both suggest broad form building is crowded, so the current strength can become a weakness if synthesis frames it too generically.
- Fast setup vs. downstream work. AI form generation reduces blank-page work, but the ICP's strongest operational pain includes chasing missing assets and moving answers into project systems. CSV export helps, yet lack of integrations or workflow handoff may block the highest-value opportunity.
- Focused intake vs. suite gravity. A lightweight intake tool can appeal to buyers who do not want HoneyBook or Dubsado migration. The same focus can lose buyers who decide contracts, invoices, scheduling, portals, and automation belong in one system.
- AI adoption vs. AI willingness to pay. Small businesses are using generative AI, but public survey coverage indicates many use free or low-cost tiers. AI can reduce trial friction, but paid conversion likely needs evidence of client-workflow ROI.
- Agent-first access vs. incumbent developer platforms. MCP and CLI access could turn FormForge into a tool agents can use during client onboarding, but Typeform already has a beta MCP server and mature APIs.
